Aerospace and defence laser marking demands accuracy, permanence and traceability. Every component in an aircraft or defence system must be identifiable throughout its entire service life — often decades.

MATERIALS
WE MARK

TITANIUM ALLOYS

Ti-6Al-4V and other aerospace grades. Colour marking achievable. Permanent marks unaffected by heat treatment or anodising.

INCONEL

High-nickel superalloys used in turbine components and exhaust systems. Laser marking produces legible, permanent marks on these notoriously difficult materials.

ALUMINIUM ALLOYS

2024, 7075, 6061 and other aerospace aluminium grades. High contrast marking for serialisation and identification.

STAINLESS STEEL

Aircraft-grade stainless including 17-4 PH. Permanent marking for fasteners, brackets, structural parts and fittings.

COMPOSITES

Carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) and other composites. Precise marking without delamination or heat damage.

HASTELLOY & OTHERS

Hastelloy, zirconium, cobalt alloys, niobium — we mark exotic aerospace and nuclear-grade materials that others won't attempt.

FULL PART
TRACEABILITY

Aerospace and defence programmes require full part traceability from manufacture through service and maintenance. Laser marking is the preferred method because it is permanent, non-contact, and leaves no residue or weakening of the substrate.

We produce Data Matrix codes that meet ISO/IEC 16022 and can be read by handheld scanners even after years of surface exposure. Serial numbers, batch codes, date codes and custom identifiers are all within our capability.
